The name's Noah "Nova" S. Ramos Pinto and I am a Portuguese interdisciplinary artist living in the Netherlands.

From a young age, I practiced art of all kinds, and ended up growing into my illustration, sculpting and sewing skills. Originally a biology major, I soon realized my love of animals was better off being showcased in my own artwork rather than in my studies, and in 2019 I officially pivoted to an art major.

In 2025, I graduated a 4 year course at the Willem de Kooning Academy with a Bachelor's degree in Animation Design, and a Minor in Video-Game Design.

My skills include:
☆ Illustration
★ Character Design
☆ Concept Design
★ 2D & 3D Animation
☆ Story-boarder
★ Animation Producing & Directing
☆ 3D Modeling & Texturing
★ 3D Re-Topology
☆ 3D Rigging
★ Video-Game Design
☆ Hand Sculpting (Polymer Clay, Stone Toss)
★ Plush-making

In my forth year of university, I was part of a Video-Game Design Minor. We studied what goes into the creation of video games and how to design a good video game level, and - after some practice - we were divided into large teams, where we created our very own video game!

Moldbreaker: Rise of the Loaf is a 3D low-poly platform video-game, where you are tasked with defeating the great terror of mold, and cleanse the starchy neighbors in your loafed woods.
Embark on a moldy adventure in a land of bread. Play as Bradley the Breadapus, a waffle-tailed bread platypus, in this quirky action platformer and battle to cleanse a world infected by mold. Break the mold, save the world!

For this game, I created a large catalogue of concept designs while we were still in the concepting stages of the game, along with 3D modelling, texture painting, rigging, and animating characters and assets!

In my first year of university, we collaborated with Animation students from the forth year of their studies. We were meant to be paired with a project, and help the soon-to-be student-graduates develop their graduation project.
I applied and got paired up with the LAD Project, a visual novel!

LAD is a video-game visual novel where you walk around an Irish town, explore, and get to know the locals.
For this project, I got tasked with creating a few sprite icons and loop animations, as seen below.

As an interdisciplinary artist, when I was close to finishing my studies, I craved to study another artistic medium.
In this case, I started playing a bit more with different types of clay!
I picked up Polymer clay as a new way to experiment with my sculpting abilities.
As an easy medium that quickly solidifies can be built up on top of, this was an easy, non-intimidating material.
At first, I created a few small trinket items to get familiar with the material, and slowly started moving up to slightly bigger figurines.
My next objective is to be able to create my own custom figurines taller than 10cm!

For a few weeks, I was allowed to experiment with both porcelain and stone toss, and I created a few
sculpts, where with each I got a bit more comfortable with the medium.

Illustration is the first ever art form I have ever done, and it is likely to be the art form that I practice last.
Ever since I knew how to hold a pencil, I've been drawing. And I hope I continue to do it for a long-long while.

Ever Enough is a project started in my last year of university and my graduation project.

Ever Enough is a mixed media short-film and music video, where we accompany the main character through the hurdles of imposed expectations and the reality of not being able to correspond.
By growing up alongside the main character, you are able to understand how all of this pressure makes them feel.

Animation Showreel 2023

The Only Face I Know is a 2D teaser trailer and show concept project, where a small team and I - as the short's Producer - concepted a show and turned it into a small reality.
In this short, the main character has a condition known as visual agnosia, and he has a hard time perceiving words, objects, and faces. Because of this, and his musician background, he creates a strong grounding relationship with music.
After a while with this debilitating condition, he misses the one person he still could picture the face of; his ex-lover. He then packs his bags and parts on a journey around the world in order to find his long lost love.

Animation Showreel 2023

The Childhood Pet project is an artistic memorial to my childhood dog. This project was initiated soon after he passed away, and has the objective of honoring his life by portraying his favorite things growing up in an animated format.

The Character Animation project was a project in my first year of university, where I was tasked with designing a character and animating 3 sets of actions: an idle, a run, and a jump.
The character I created is a demonic scarecrow named Bugiardo, a prolific liar and deceiver.
